Bringing the bold ambition of Unstoppable Stockport to life through brand and digital.

Background

A new positioning for a town on the rise.

Stockport in Greater Manchester is undergoing one of the most ambitious regeneration programmes in the UK, with major investment transforming the town centre, attracting businesses and creating new opportunities for residents and investors alike.

Working with Stockport Mayoral Development Corporation (MDC) and Stockport Council, we were tasked with creating a more confident, public-facing brand that could better communicate the scale of this transformation. The result was “Unstoppable Stockport” a bold new identity designed to capture the energy, momentum and ambition driving the town forward.

Alongside the brand refresh, we were commissioned to design and build a new website that would act as the central platform for communicating Stockport’s vision, investment opportunities and ongoing regeneration story.

Challenge

Capturing momentum and inspiring future investment.

The challenge was to create a brand and digital experience capable of speaking to multiple audiences, from developers and investors to businesses, stakeholders and the wider public.

The new brand identity needed to move beyond the conventions often associated with public sector communications, positioning Stockport as a confident, forward-thinking destination competing on a national and international stage. The website also needed to showcase a wide range of regeneration projects, communicate complex information clearly and create a compelling narrative around the town’s future.

Bringing the brand to life online.

We developed a vibrant visual identity centred around the “Unstoppable Stockport” positioning, creating a look and feel that reflects the town’s confidence, independent spirit and momentum. This bold new direction was first unveiled at MIPIM, helping Stockport present its vision to a global audience of investors and developers.

With the new identity in place, our focus turned to creating a website that could communicate the scale of change happening across the town. We designed and built a platform that balances investment-focused content with public-facing storytelling, carefully considering the user experience to ensure visitors can easily navigate, explore and understand the vision, opportunities and projects shaping Stockport’s future. The result is a confident website that reflects the town’s momentum and supports its continued growth for years to come.
