BACKGROUND

SSE supply millions of homes across the UK with energy, but the way they power these homes is changing as we move to more of a low carbon world.

THE CHALLENGE

SSE’s last remaining coal-fired power station Fiddler’s Ferry was decommissioned in March 2020. In honour of the closure SSE appointed Future to produce a commemorative book to track the life, history and most importantly the people of the power station.

The book was created as a keepsake to hand out to ex-employees at a final event marking the final closure of the site.
