THE CHALLENGE

To transform a non-descript stairwell area of our design studio into a creative, eye-catching and engaging backdrop to celebrate our local area.

OUR APPROACH

We started by researching places, people and events, some of which Stockport is famous for and other lesser known stories.

Then we set about designing each letter in different styles, bringing these stories to life in different ways. These included references to local landmarks like Stockport Viaduct, The Plaza, Stockport Market, Underbanks Stairs and the River Mersey. Aswell as local legend Fred Perry, its heritage in hatmaking, the renowned Strawberry Recording Studios and celebrating Jimi Hendrix’s gig in 1967.
